>PPP = Point To Point Protocol ( protocollo per l'accesso diretto ad internet tramite normale linea telefonica e modem che consente ad un PC di essere ad ogni effetto un nodo internet.
>NODO = Singolo computer collegato a una rete.
>PROTOCOLLO = Insieme di standard e di norme che regolano le funzioni di comunicazione di una rete.
>MODEM = Modulatore - Demodulatore (dispositivo che converte in analogici i segnali digitali in uscita dalla porta seriale di un computer; i bit cosi generati modulano la portante che viaggia su una linea telefonica. In recezione il modem esegue il processo inverso.)
>PORTANTE = Segnale elettrico senusoidale, che variando di ampiezza freguenza o fase, trasporta informazioni tramite la linea telefonica.
>HTTP = Hyper Text Trasfer Protocol (protocollo che regola il world wide web e ne consente il carattere ipertestuale nonch_ il server che ospita e distribuisce documenti www.)

d) Editor per pagine Web (es. Microsoft Front Page, Abobe Page Mill, Netscape Navigator Gold 3.0 ecc..)
Per una buona visualizzazione delle pagine Web e per la connessione alla rete Internet
